Introduction

We recreate Korean heritage with
contemporary design,
bringing Hanbok into today’s lifestyle.

Park Hyun-joo,
Director for Hanbok Technology Promotion

It is a medical and cultural heritage with historical value for the identity of the Korean people, and at the same time has industrial and economic value as a lifestyle that has been passed down with the lives of the people. Before the industrial society, Hanbok supported the entire Korean people's clothing industry. The cladding industry encompasses the textile industry, which is a material industry, as well as all that protects and symbolizes the human body from head to toe. It was even widely used in the main living areas such as blankets, seats, curtains, etc., and in indescribable dietary equipment and household goods such as tablecloth, dishcloth, mop, apron, various covers, netting, pockets, and cloth.

Future Hanbok Recreated with Korean Design

Hanbok is the Korean people's clothing, so the market must be revitalized for the workers to survive, but the development continues only when the technology development and reinvestment of related industries are cycled. At some point, Hanbok was interpreted as a culture, and related ministries were rapidly rejected. Since Hanbok is not an art such as Gugak, Oriental painting, or Korean dance, but a product, an industry that must be constantly circulated in a market where producers and consumers exist must come first so that culture can bloom and flourish.
